The WECUBEX Group, a leading provider of flexible sheet metal fabrication for ready-to-install functional parts and assemblies as well as system-perforated tubes, has taken a significant step in its expansion strategy by acquiring the Romanian subsidiary of a German sheet metal processing company. This acquisition, which is regarded as an important strategic option for the company’s future, was carried out with the aim of expanding WECUBEX’s production capacities and strengthening its presence in Eastern European markets.
The Romanian company, which previously operated under the umbrella of a German corporate group, specialises in the manufacture of sheet metal assemblies and control cabinet enclosures for the German mechanical engineering industry. Through the acquisition of this operation, WECUBEX hopes not only to broaden its manufacturing capabilities, but also to create further opportunities for new projects in the future.
The decision to make this acquisition reflects WECUBEX’s long-term vision of continuing to grow as a company operating across Europe in the metalworking industry. “This acquisition is a strategically important step for our Group. It enables us to increase our in-house manufacturing depth and expand our service portfolio to include manufacturing capabilities in Eastern Europe,” explains Tobias Höhnlein, CEO of WECUBEX. “This allows us to offer our customers an even broader range of integrated solutions.” Höhnlein also emphasises the importance of Romania’s geographical location as a strategic base in Eastern Europe, which will play a key role in the Group’s further expansion into neighbouring markets.
The acquisition is expected to be fully completed in the coming weeks. Employees of the Romanian company have been informed about the upcoming changes, and WECUBEX plans to invest in the existing facilities and implement technological upgrades to improve efficiency and productivity.
With this latest expansion, WECUBEX continues its growth trajectory and strengthens its position as one of the leading providers in the metalworking industry, while at the same time entering new markets and further expanding its ability to respond flexibly to customer requirements.
